God Always Provides

People are apprehensive and unsettled in their everyday lives including those who professed to be Christians simply because they cannot trust God completely. And trust entails surrender which is not comfortable and not certain. But peace comes only with surrender.

There are many whose hearts are aching under a load of care because they seek to reach the world’s standard. They have chosen its service, accepted its perplexities, adopted its customs. Thus their character is marred and their life made a weariness. The continual worry is wearing out the life forces. Our Lord desires them to lay aside this yoke of bondage. He invites them to accept His yoke; He says, “My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Worry is blind and cannot discern the future; but Jesus sees the end from the beginning. In every difficulty He has His way prepared to bring relief. “No good thing He will withhold from them that walk uprightly.” (Matthew 11:30; Psalm 84:11; Help In Daily Living by EGW)

Our Heavenly Father has a thousand ways to provide for us of which we know nothing. Those who accept the one principle of making the service of God supreme, will find perplexities vanish and a plain path before their feet. [HDL 21.2]

The faithful discharge of today’s duties is the best preparation for tomorrow’s trials. Do not gather all tomorrow’s liabilities and cares and add them to the burden of today. [HDL 21.3] “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” [Matthew 6:34]

Let us enable ourselves to be hopeful and courageous. God knows our every needs. His power is unquestionable. He is more than able to fulfill all of His promises to those who trust and believe in Him. He has ways and means that we could never have imagined for eliminating all difficulty. He is faithful.

He watches over his children with a love that is measureless and everlasting. [HDL 21.4]

In the darkest days, when appearances seem most forbidding, have faith in God. He is working out His will, doing all things well in behalf of His people. The strength of those who love and serve Him will be renewed day by day. [HDL 22.1]

“…Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” [Isaiah 43;19] And if God can help the Egyptians make bricks without straw, [Exodus 5] surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save nor His ear too dull to hear our requests and supplications. [Isaiah 59:1]

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not in your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct Your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones.” [Proverbs 3:5-8]
