Her Golden Parachute

It was a long time coming. She was just ignoring the signs trying to hang on to a hopeless situation. She was praying hard to have more of the fruit of the Holy Spirit – patience, endurance, joy and peace. Everyday there’s a battle going on in her mind. Will she go to work or just stay home? Her conscience was always winning so she keeps on showing up at work. Showing the same competence and diligence day after day after day. Putting all of her efforts doing the job at hand even without seeing any results. Even if she feels like she was about to go crazy every time she’s in the office trying to appear calm and in control, she still shows up on time, on the dot.

But to everything there is a season. A time to every purpose under heaven. A time to stay and a time to leave. It is time to leave for good.

And so she quit her job…She took the leap of faith knowing that she has a golden parachute in the name of Jesus Christ. She is landing safe.

Does she have any regrets? What about the steady income? What about the perks and benefits of the corporate job she left behind? Not to mention the gorgeous downtown location. Her simple answer was, none. No regrets at all. She did her due diligence.She believed she learned what she needed to learn from this job. It’s now time to move on…

The future she does not know. All she knows is, God is the one holding her future. She can do all things through Christ who gives her strength. It is not going to be easy but everything is possible. The leash which was holding her back is no longer there. She is now free. Free to explore and step into the door(s) of opportunity which God is opening up for her.

Courage in the Lord. The best is yet to come. Every challenge is a chance to see how God will create miracles again for her. She is excited to see how He will make a way for her to get through this challenge. Every trial is an opportunity to grow as an individual. It will strengthen her faith muscles.

She survived before and she will survive again because she is standing on God’s promises.

” Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

He will teach her great and mighty things which she should know. (Jeremiah 33:3)

She will have more faith and do her part. For the secret of success is the union of divine power with human effort. – (E.G.W.)

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures,

He leads me beside the still waters,

He restores my soul;

He leads me in the paths of righteousness

For His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death;

I will fear no evil;

For You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;

You anoint my head with oil;

My cup runs over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me

All the days of my life;

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord

Forever.” Psalm 23

God is her refuge and strength. A very present help in times of trouble. ( Psalm 46:1)

The Lord will go before her. She is now advancing bravely.
